and here is a slide with some of my other stuff!
Tuesday night we spent at the Princeville hotel having fruity drinks and enjoying the fabulous sunset.
The real reason for our trip Diane and Russell were married barefoot on the beach...October 10th. The reason to marry on a Wednesday was explained by Russell's mother...Sharon & Russell Sr. were married on a Wednesday and have shared 49 years together! So Wednesday it was!
Prior to the wedding we were joking around saying they should start handing out a chicken to each couple that gets married...I now pronounce you husband and wife...here is your chicken! Perhaps they could cut down on the number of chickens running around the island! So I presented Russell and Diane with a funky wooden chicken at their reception. We all had our picture taken with their chicken...that will make for some fun photos to look at later.
I absolutely adored Russell's parents...Diane is so lucky to have such fab in-laws!
Sadly every trip must come to an end....it was fun to spend the week without any worries other than which beach to lay on. So it wasn't quite perfect...the airline lost all our luggage but we did get it late on the first night (after we found Walmart and had replaced a few items). I picked up all the flowers for the wedding ceremony and to the brides horror the bouquet was all wrong...Diane had told the florist she wan't only orange flowers (I only picked them up and did not know her flower request). The bouquet was pink & orange flowers with red roses....OMG poor Diane screamed when she saw it. I quickly took the bouquet to the desk at the Princeville Hotel and thankfully they have a florist there...she was so kind to quickly fix her bouquet and the bride was happy again! YEA! It was a beautiful wedding and am so thankful to have been able to share this special day with Diane & Russell!
