The big mans coming!

I stopped in to see Santa today...gave him my list, and he assured me that he would do his best! What a nice guy...not sure why all the kids are so scared of him!

These Days - Rascal Flatts

Gotta love Rascal Flats too!

Nickelback - Photograph

I love this song...It reminds me of a morning driving the girls to school, we were stopped by a train, this song came on ...I cranked it up and all 4 of us were belting it out, it always gives me a smile to think of that morning! Love you girlies!

yummy-yummy-yummy!

Here are a few pics of our fun gingerbread creations! We had a blast putting these together...all went well except for a couple of collapsed roofs...perhaps we should consult an expert next year to determine how much candy per square inch is acceptable!

Courtney & Bill

Courtney (my oldest daughter) was honored last night at her high school for receiving a perfect score in Writing 121 at the local college!

Her final paper was on being sterotyped, something that many teens experience, she said the anger and hurt from her own personal experience flowed from her pen. With the end result being a perfect paper!

It was a fabulous ceremony to honor many students at South Albany High School, I was so proud to have one of Courtney's teachers personally seek me out and tell me of how impressed he is with my daughter, how intelligent she is and how I did a fabulous job raising her! (I cannot take credit...I have only encouraged her to use her mind and question things, not to accept things just because everyone else does...she has taken this to heart and learns from everything) I am so proud of you darling!

I took this pic after the ceremony of Courtney and her boyfriend Bill...I think it is a perfect pic on them!

What to do with only one day off???

Alright my dearest friend Anna of Iceland sent me this awesome link for an advent calendar made with only one sheet of paper, chipboard, small matchstick boxes....etc

So with only one night off work (I just finished up 6... off 1....then on for 6 more again...don't ask) I decided to tackle this project ...but I enjoyed it so much I ended up making two versions:

Here is the link for the directions if you would like to give it a try too! Be sure to send me a link too so I can check it out!

Thanks for the inspiration Tracie Hudson!

Kenzie k is the one in the back row with the writing across her face. All but one of the teams got 1st place (and that one came in 2nd). It was a fabulous day ...
and all that hard work paid off! In the bottom pic Kenzie is in the group of gals on the far right...she is the one on the left helping to hold up one of the gals.

Seattle CKC

Such a fun weekend at the Rusty Pickle booth at the Seattle CKC! I wished I had time to wander around and see all the other booths but we were so busy it was hard to get away! I did manage to sneak away from the booth long enough to purchase a couple of things to ship off to my dear friend Anna of Iceland.

I loved being able to chat with other scrappers about different techniques to try and some of our fun new products. I really loved being able to just hang out and have an opportunity to get to know each other better...and the wine was fab too...thanks Beth! This was my first show (ever) so I really didn't know what to expect...thank goodness Casey was there to guide us thru the process! I also loved meeting Phil and Jil...Jil has a fabulous sense of humor and to my shock is not a scrapper, her passion is jewelery...I look forward to seeing her creations and eventully coverting her to scrapping too! Phil did a fabulous job...even with the stress of the cash register crashing! It was a fun weekend with Casey, Beth, Phil and Jil {aka Pashmina}
