Hunter the dragon

This year Hunter was a dragon...he liked the costume, but hated wearing the silly hat! I thought he was super cute...even with the big tears!

Last year he was an adorable little monkey! Look how sweet and QUIET he was....lol!!

Happy Halloween

Here is a goofy card that I made for my grandson for Halloween....created with My Little Shoebox Green collection. Speaking of Green....I used some plastic packaging from one of my Fiskar punches to create a tummy of candy for this fella. Filled it with gobstoppers candy, Hunter always goes to my stash of candy and wants a "gob".

I left an oval opening on the inside of the card so he can remove his candy without distroying his card.

My Little Shoebox sweet HARMONY!

So many layers of My Little Shoebox Harmony collecton....I just couldn't resist using almost every it of paper from this collection on this layout of my girls: Kelsey and Kenzie. I used Sakura pens to color in the beautiful stamps!

LOVE YOU card created with My Little Shoebox Harmony collection. This is such a bright fun collection....you can use it to create so many different projects! Just add little ink and staples!

Just to see you smile layout: I used the My Little Shoebox Harmony collection on this layout... those lantern stamps are so fun! Hard to see in the pic but I uused Sakura Opaque pens to color in the lanterns and with the Sakura clear star pen over the color to add some glitter effect! They look amazing IRL. The heart punch is Fiskars.....love my fiskar punches!!

My Sweet Pea: a fun lo of my adorable grandson Hunter. Created with My Little Shoebox Harmony collection. I love to create lots of depth with layers....my hint is to use chipboard or cardboard in-between each layer to give some lift!

I also love to distress and ink up the edges! I'm also a little nervous to stamp right on my project so....often I will stamp on paper then trim around and adhere to my layout...also giving more dimension!

We are teaming up with 2Peas again for another Design Challenge.

Here are the deets...

My little shoebox + two peas in a bucket are teaming up to host a layout challenge just for you starting september 1st and running through the end of the day September 30th. entering couldn't be easier - here's what you'll need to do:

Create a layout of any theme and size using 85% My Little Shoebox Product. Upload your project to the gallery - don't forget to check the "my little shoebox + two peas layout contest" box under member challenges to be included in the challenge!

Your layout should have at least FIVE tags associated with it. Your layout should have at least THREE related products associated with it. Please note that to associate a product to your project, it must be available in the Two Peas store.

Projects must be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. CST September 30, 2010 to be entered into the challenge. two peas + my little shoebox will select two winners who will each receive a package from my little shoebox valued at $100.

Just back from an amazing trip to Hawaii....the Big Island. It was our first time to this island...and we all loved it! We spent most days exploring and snorkeling! I was amazed at all the sea life waiting to be discovered...we even had sea turtles swim right up to us! A little sad to be home....but I have another Hawaiian trip planned with a group of girlfriends next month! YEA!

Monster baby

OK....so Hunter really isn't a monster baby...he just really wanted my camera yesterday....and to his shock...I did not give it to him! I must say he was pretty darn persistent too! Anyway... I had fun creating this one...using My Little Shoebox imaginary friends, and some fancy pants pp...a few buttons cuz I have a hard time not adding them! btw I did get him to smile and be his normal cute self and will scrap those pics...but I just couldn't resist these pics!

A lo of my grandson Hunter and my daughter Kelsey. He saves the biggest smiles for mom! I just love that she is such a great mom! Added a little machine stitching to frame them....and a few buttons cuz I find it hard to not use buttons..they are always a perfect embellishment!

Welcome home Courtney and Bill

After a year long adventure my daughter Courtney and her boyfriend Bill have returned from Europe! It is crazy too think it was only a year....it seemed like forever!

They started by hitch hiking across the US from Oregon to Philadelphia where they took a flight to Ireland. Then they backpacked as far as Morocco. It is amazing that they could survive living out of a backpack.

I am so excited to hear about all their adventures! Picking them up at the airport...finally having them home... was amazing! I don't think a moment went by in the past year that I didn't worry about them.....but they met so many nice people along their journey! It is nice to know there are still wonderful people out there!

I created this wooden wall hanging for Kelsey for her birthday coming up next week. I love the way it turned out. I re-used the packaging from Prima flowers and bling to add some pics to hang on the bottom....making a little mini album!

As for the products used....the chipboard is Cosmo Cricket. Paper is Fancy Pants, Cosmo Cricket and My Little Shoebox. And bling is Prima.

I can't wait to give it to her....think she love it!!

American Idol....this is one of the few shows that I really enjoy watching each week! I loved Crystal from the beginning...It is fun to watch them grow t/o the season! I had a wonderful birthday this year...Thanks so much to all my amazing friends that sent me messages....love ya all! Brian and I took off to the Oregon coast....what a relaxing way to enjoy getting older!! Went to Mo's for clam chowder....shopping at the factory outlet mall in Lincoln City where Brian bought me a couple new Coach purses for my birthday! And the weather was really amazing for May!

A few projects for my poor neglected blog.

First is a home decor project made with My Mind's Eye: Life Stories collection. Created for Craft Warehouse DT. Lots of distressing, inking, layering and stitching on this one. It turned out so beautiful....placed in a 12 x 12 shadowbox. Flowers and bling are Prima.

Second and third layouts are also created with My Mind's Eye with Prima bling. I love the vintage look of these papers and the tags are fab!

Last but NOT least Rusty Pickle layouts for the first 2 I used Rusty Pickles new Shazam pp...and also played with the Cricut my husband got me for Christmas. And the last layout is a mixture of several of Rusty Pickles collections.....of my beautiful grandson Hunter.

Above an altered frame created with American Crafts with a pic of my adorable grandson Hunter.

This lo is created with American Crafts. I used colorbox ink to color the thickers. Pic is of Kenzie K from many years ago.

Card created with American Crafts, used my crop-o-dile to add the eyelets to the flowers.

Another card created with American Crafts.

And another American Crafts card...such a cute boxer puppie!

I altered this canvas...using the reverse side of the canvas I inked with colorbox ink, using a stencil to add the swirls and circle. Then added my fav Rusty Pickle products.

And a lo of adorable Hunter in his monkey costume...using the brand new Rusty Pickle line: Thriller! Love this line!

And then there is silly me in this winter lo created with Rusty Pickle White Christmas line.

I want to celebrate all things mini!!

Here is my mini album: Always my Love.

I Created with the Rusty Pickle acrylic scalloped album (see complete Rusty Pickle supply list below). Many people love the look of acrylic but aren't sure what to do with it: on this album cover I used several different distressing techniques to try! Why not give them a try...acrylic is super fun and Rusty Pickle has lots of great acrylic album shapes to choose from.

I used a nail file (or sandpaper will work) to rough up the front of your acrylic album, this will allow for the glimmer mist and ink to stick better. Spray on glimmer mist and blot with the Ranger inking tool (or just allow to dry if you prefer). I used a brown and green for a nice antique look.

Next I used ink on the edges, and stamped one of my florish stamps using the same ink, sprinkle on the embossing powder and use a heat gun to set. The acrylic as it heats will warp a little but as soon as your powder is set flatten it out with a heavy object....I just use one of my fav scrapping books and applied a little pressure to it for a brief time... this will flatten it right out.

Next add a few of Rusty Pickle rub-on's...which I must add go on like butter! Now with the roughed up album you can stamp your title right on your cover...but be sure to allow time for it to dry (so it doesn't smudge). Once my cover was distressed I added a butterfly, some stickers for the title, and paper to the inside of the album cover.

A nail file, ink, Glimmer mist for this project I used: Coffee Shop and Olive Vine. Zing embossing powder, and Ranger Ink blending tool...another one of my fav's used on every project I distress!

A few new September projects

A few new Rusty Pickle projects, this is "45" no it's not my age...just my Lucky number {{{LOL}}}

A lo of Hunter...and me. I just love our time together! of course it is created with Rusty Pickle.

I created this for the Rusty Pickle blog challenge, go {here} to find out details! This is my dd Kenzie K and her friend...Rusty Pickle Candyland on this one! I did not do any journaling in this one since it was a gift...I thought I would let them fill in their story!

And a mini album of the Oregon Jamboree, a huge Country concert that runs over 3 days... I made this for some friends that joined us. Usung the Rusty Pickle Mayflower collection, I wanted to give them a disc of all the pictures I took...so I added a pocket on the last page to hold the disc.

Hard to believe summer is almost over...dang! Here are some projects I created in August!
Rusty Pickle Mini Album "All My Love".

Sweet Baby blue eyes, my beautiful grandson Hunter. Created with October Afternoon paper, thickers, Rusty Pickle Rubon's.
A lo of Kenzie using Cosmo Cricket, lots of distressing and layering.

An altered canvas for Kenzie using a couple different Rusty Pickle lines. The canvas was first inked with Ranger distress ink and a stencil used for the background.

Bubble Beauty is one of my friends daughters. Alttle handstitching on this one.

of course another of Hunter...finally caught a smile and had to document it! This is a NEW line from Rusty Pickle, not on shelves yet. It is super cute!

Another using the NEW Rusty Pickle, my daughter Kelsey. I used white acrylic paint on the cardboard.

and yet another NEW Rusty Pickle line...of guess who. I used a Quickutz butterfly die on this one that was recommended by Brenda of Rusty Pickle. Love the bright colors of this new collection.

Altered Canvas & layouts

A few new projects created for Craft Warehouse. The first is a layout created with Pink Paislee Captivating collection. It looks so beautiful IRL!

Then we have an altered canvas using Pink Paislee Fasinating collection. It features my son Jacob from about 9 years ago. I seriously think I'm going to be addicted to altering canvas's...so much fun!

The layouts were created with My Little Shoe Box products. These will be displayed in 12 x 12 shadow boxes so I made them bulky. One with my daughter Kenzie K. and the other with my grandson Hunter.

A big scare!

So I just thought I would share: My oldest daughter Courtney (19) and her boyfriend are "back-packing the world" they have been on their journey for a about a month now. She calls me every Thursday and we communicate via email the rest of the week since she has a solar panel for her laptop.
Thursday I didn't hear from her and about 11:30 pm I got a phone call, I was expecting it to be her...but it was the Wisconsin Police department...my heart sunk when he introduced himself. He asked if I was related to Courtney or Bill, then asked if she plays the violin. Of course my first thought was...is that all that is left of her...her violin. Then he went on to say that she had accidentally left it in someone's car, they had turned it in and it contained their passports inside the case.
I just have to say that there are some fabulous people in Wisconsin, for turning in the violin & passports....the police even delivered it to her this afternoon!
Of course this still is not easy on me, not knowing exactly where she is and that she is safe...but it is heart warming to know there are good people watching out for her (for me).

We took a quick trip down to the Oregon coast aquarium for the day. It was so nice to get away even if it was only for the day...we managed to pack quite a bit in....first the aquarium, then playing on the beach, then to Mo's in Lincoln city for dinner, then a moonlit walk on the beach...a very nice day!

Here is a new project created for Craft Warehouse using Daisy Bucket Designs My little monster collection. I LOVE these little monsters and it makes a perfect boy room sign...or layout. I had a blast creating this...and check out that HUGE chipboard....woooohooo LOVE that too!

Here is the announcement from the Rusty Pickle Blog of the finalists that will now compete in the "Amazing Race" to determine who will be added to the Design Team.

Heaven sent angel mini album

Just finished up this adorable mini album for my 2nd assignment for Craft Warehouse, of course it is my adorable grandson Hunter. I created this using Fancy Pants designs...wow I love this mixed media album...chipboard, acrylic and felt pages...I was is in heaven creating this!

The arrival of Hunter Kade

Hunter Kade born at 0111, May 2nd, weighing 5 lbs 15 oz, 18 1/2 inches. My daughter & baby are doing great! It is wonderful to finally have him here in our arms!

Kelsey was induced a little early: due on May 13th...but Kelsey had gained 5 lbs in the past week and blood pressure was high so they decided it was time. Induced around 3 in the afternoon, 5 cm at 9pm, 8 cm around midnight and born at 1 am....pretty darn good for a first baby! Kelsey and Kyle both shed tears of joy at the sight of their beautiful son...it was a perfect birth.

My first grandchild...in love already!

Craft Warehouse Design Team!

I'm so excited to announce that I made the 2009 Craft Warehouse DT! This is a local craft store that has 9 differnt stores located in Oregon, Washington & Idaho. I just happened to be in the Salem store showing off my layout the February Scrapbook Trends magazine to one of the gals that works there...and she gave me a flyer to enter to win a spot on the Design team. So I quickly bought all the fun products I would need to complete 2 lo's, 2 cards, and a mini album....and set my mind to it!

Well then you know how life is all that fun stuff sat there and sat there until just a week before the submission deadline....I went and got the flyer and realized I had to mail it in too, feeling discouraged I thought I could never be forced to be creative in such a short amount of time. But then when I pulled all that fun product out....I was INSPIRED! I love the creations I made for Craft Warehouse and was thrilled to "get the call"!

Love bug

I just can't stop scrapping these adorable pic's of Kelsey, her doctors appt went well yesterday. She is 1 cm dilated...it seems so unreal that my baby is going to be a mother....which yes of course makes me a grandma. I'm still struggling with that a little...but I can't wait to meet my grandson!

This is mainly Cosmo Cricket products with the exception of a little RustyPickle (always have to put my fav manufacter in there somewhere).

Love these little chipboard bugs, as soon as I spotted those I was inspired to do a love bug lo!

Another one of Kelsey with her adorable belly...of course she is much bigger now at 9 months as you can see from the prev post. I love the dimension of these flowers: I call it the punch & scrunch technique. Just punch with flower shapes scrunch them up and use glue dots to adhere them together. Very simple & cute!

She is feeling good except she says it's not so cute when he kicks and squiggles around...it just is uncomfortable. She is in her nesting stage...LOL...cleaning continuously and working on getting everything just perfect for little Hunter!

My internet has been down for the past couple of weeks...what a pain! I AM so glad to finally be back in the world of technology! I actually had to use a phone book to look up numbers...lol.

Rusty Pickle Design Team Call!

Good news! Rusty Pickle is looking to expand our elite design team! Ten finalists will be chosen to run an "amazing race" where their talent (and ability to function on minimal sleep ;)) will be put to the test. Of these ten finalists, five will be chosen to join the Rusty Pickle team.
The deadline for entry is Sunday May 31st at 12 noon Mountain Standard time. Please submit the following 3 projects for consideration: (1) 2-page 12x12 layout, an altered project and a mini album 8x8 or smaller with at least 6 pages. Projects must contain 100% Rusty Pickle product to qualify. Email all entries to: mailto:amazingrace@%20rustypickle.com.

Please limit one email per contestant with 1 project image of the layout, 1 project image of the altered project and one compilation image (six images) of the album (this compilation can be done using photo-editing software). The images are to be no more than 700 x 700 pixels. In the subject line put only your name. The ten finalists will be announced Friday, June 5th at 12 noon.

Some new stuff....nope....not an April fools joke!

I had fun creating this mini album using pics from a camping trip with the boys last summer...I just love this line from Rusty Pickle: Under the Stars. I added lots of tags for extra pics & embellishments by cutting some of the pages in thirds!

This mini album"K" for Kelsey & Kenzie will be featured in Scrapbooking.com mag in May...so I can't give any sneak peeks BUT included in the article are complete instructions for completing this chipboard/acrylic album.

Yea back on my blog after the debut in February Scrapbook Trends magazine! I love this lo of my dh & I! Let's see if anyone reads this...lol...I'll send a rak to whoever can guess the story of how we met...no hints...but it was wild fate!

and another fun project that was in the February Handmade magazine! I used clear shelve liner to back this...just add a couple candles behind it for a romantic decoration!

Finally scraped a few of those pregnancy pics of my dd, this one is with the Candyland line from Rusty Pickle...love those bright colors!

Look at that belly...lol...she is adorable! This is the new Chocolate Covered Cherries line from Rusty Pickle.

Hey speaking of Rusty Pickle....word has it there will be another Amazing Race this year...keep your eye out for details if you are wanting to try out for the Design team.

Baby Hunter 3D ultrasound

This is just crazy to me! I wish they had this technology back when I was having babies. He looks pretty darn cute, only 2 months to go. So Hunter is due May 13...which btw is on my birthday, it will be amazing to be able to meet my first grandchild on my birthday. All my children were early by a week or so, so I'm guessing May 7th. Guess we'll see in a few short months!

We also had a baby shower today, I made these adorable flowers pots with an ultrasound pic of Hunter on the back of the flower. And a diaper cake...no not to eat, just a fun gift that makes a great decoration...made by rolling diapers up, hold them together with a large rubber band and use dowels inside to hold the layers together! It was a super fun project to make and I think it turned out pretty cute for my first one! When I walked in with the "cake" my daughter thought it was a real cake...lol... It was fun to meet most of Kyles family and nice to see he will be raised with the love of many!

Snow kisses

A little peek at a lo I just finished up...I still seem to be stuck on Christmas...I just may have to hold on to this one for next Winter. I used the New Rusty Pickle Christmas papers...and Prima felt that I got from my RP secret sister: Tracey...lots of glittery accents. The snowflakes are from the dollar section at Joann's Fabric...and New Rhinestone bling & chipboard from Rusty Pickle too.

I have about 1,000 adorable pics of puppies I need to get working on those too...I met Rusty Pickle Chef Libby yesterday to deliver her sweet little boxer puppie "Ruby"! Great to see you Libby and I know Ruby will be a perfect addition to your home! I hope for life to get back to "normal" here as all the puppies find homes. They have been so much fun...but a lot of work!

Boxer puppy update

Ok here is the update...we have just 2 adorable little boys left, we have found fabulous families for all the other puppies but still have these adorable little fella's left! "dk boy" & "stripe".

dk boy is sold ..all the puppies have now been sold.
dk boy is a dark brindle beauty...super sweet and snuggly! Stripe is soldStripe is also a dk brindle with a cute stripe up his face, he is of course also perfectly sweet and snuggly! They are all ready to go this week, OMG I will miss them they have all been so much fun, each with their own special charm...they are all my favorites!

Boxer puppies

It is getting harder and harder to get good pics of these adorable little boxers...they are so full of energy pouncing all over each other & they love to jump up to bite at my camera!

Here is a little update: the puppies were born November 23rd, so they will be 6 weeks old this coming Sunday (January 4th). They will be ready to go anytime after January 15th! I have had a lot of interest in these little cuties....ONLY 3 LEFT! All have had dewclaw's removed, tails cropped, wormed, and will have their first shots. They are all working on paper training! The are purebred but we will not be papering them.

We have 2 boys and one girl left....here are some new pics of them from tonight! To keep them all straight I have given them nicknames:

Blackie: Sold!super sweet mellow little boy, he loves to cuddle but really is a little camera shy! I call him blackie because he is the darkest of the pups, he is a reverse brindle (mostly black with beautiful streaks of red), he has 4 white paws, a white chest and perfect white streak on his face....he is one of the larger pups...never late for meal time!

Dot: sold A sweet little girl, she is so cute!! I call her dot because of her perfect black circle on her nose! She is full of energy and is the most social of the bunch, always the first one to come and give me kisses...she is a sweetheart! She has the wide stripe on her face with the black circle spot on her nose, white paws, and a white strip around her neck.

Our BIG news for November...on the 23rd our boxers had puppies! Here are some pictures: first pic is mom: Daisy second is dad Ceasar. And then 10 puppies...unfortunately we lost a couple that were very weak and small....but the rest are doing fabulous!

Veteran's day...

Happy Veteran's day (better late than never!) we spent yesterday morning at a Memorial for all the fallen soldiers in Oregon...a wet a rainy day...but a reminder to be ever grateful for all those that ensure our freedom!

Kenzie k gets her advance tickets for TWILIGHT!! I promised her that I would take her to the midnight showing of Twlight but unfortunately I will be out of town so...she is going with some friends....I will have to go see it the next night with her!

Ok...so first off a HUGE thank you to Tasha & Lance for the amazing retreat...and HUGE thank you to all those who worked so hard to put it together!

The retreat was in the Mountains of Utah...Heber. We started with a trip to the warehouse for shopping....I really told myself not to buy too much since like most scrappers I have ton's of stuff already. But of course I left with a whole box full of paper, chipboard, buttons and bling!

The first night we were showered with fun new product! we got a die cutting machine: The revolution by Quic Kutz with monograms and a full Alpha set...I have never had a die cutting machine and can't wait to play with it! We also got lot's of cardstock and some Tinkering Ink products! I mailed most of it to myself so I am anxiously awaiting my package!

Each day we had 2 to 3 classes, previewing the up coming classes for Rusty Pickle in 2009, of course I mailed all of those too myself also....so I have nothing to show. On Friday a group of 8 of us went to Park City and spent the afternoon shopping and enjoying each other's company!! Then on Saturday we had a surprise baby shower for Tasha...then she gave us a huge surprise: Tasha & Lance hired a massage therapist to come and give us all a massage!! Such a nice way to end our trip!

It was a fabulous weekend filled with laughter, fun and scrapping!! Who could ask for more??

Halloween

I am so excited to head off to the Rusty Pickle Chef Retreat in Utah!! I leave on Wednesday and return on Sunday! It will be a blast to meet some new RP friends and see some that I meet last year! SOOOOOOooooo excited!!! I hope to come back with a ton of new stuff to post! This is a pic for the cover of a Rusty Pickle Swap album that I designed. I made a fabulous secret sister gift...but since it has her name on it I better not post it until after...wouldn't want to give up the secret!

Just have to share this...while out trick or treating on Halloween with my son...one home handed out these Candy coins to all the parents with Voting propaganda! I laughed so hard...It is hilarious that someone would use Halloween Candy for this! I was thinking next election why bother with the candy why not just save up all the pamphlet's that come it the mail to hand out??? Anyway it was a fun Halloween...hope everyone else had a great time too!

1. I always take the same route places...and get a little anxious if I deviate. (am I crazy??)
2. I am a speed demon...yep I've got a big heavy lead foot! but only a few tickets (so far)
3. My fav car jam is Clumsy by Fergie (I love to embarrass my teens...crank it up and sing along)
4. I was a blonde for 2 years....btw...they do have more fun!
5. I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and wore a Milwaukee brace for almost 4 years...Dr's say I would have been at least 2 inches taller if not for the spinal curvatures....5'1" is just what I was meant to be!
6. I hate the tight girl jeans on boys....I really just don't get it??? Am I just old or what???
7. I love Christmas songs...and would listen to them all year if my family would let me!

Sacramento Expo

Just home from a fabulous weekend in Sacramento at the Scrapbook Expo! This was my best show ever...I loved working with Libby again (we were just in Tennessee a few weeks back) and Laura was fabulous and so sweet!

I love meeting all those amazing Rusty Pickle fans and making new Pickle friends! I swear the best people scrapbook!! So the new motto is "If you aren't scrappin your aren't living!"

On our off time (which wasn't alot) we went to the Cheesecake Factory, Shopping at Sephora, and Bath and Body Works to get a free cute little lambie for Libby to take home to her son. When I stepped out of the Expo on Saturday morning for a minute I saw the beautiful site of a large flag being hung at the State Capitol, I snapped a few pictures..but of course Libby had to tease me of ditching her to go site-seeing while she ran the booth all by herself!!

Anyway nice to be home...but it was a fab weekend!

Rusty Pickle November challenge

Got this one done early, since I have a crazy schedule coming up! I mixed Abstract with Cap'n Jack paper. NEW Chipboard, Rub-on's and bling from Rusty Pickle. The flowers I purchased at my local dollar store and spray painted them black to compliment the colors of the layout! The pictures: my great Uncle Emmett and his family.

Chattanooga

Just back from Tennessee working at the GASC in Chattanooga, TN. Tamara, Libby and I discovered the Big River brewery just around the corner from our hotel, they make an amazing burger!!

One of my fav things about the shows are the amazing pickle friends I make! Check out the cool necklace and clip-on pickle some of my pickle friends rak'd me with!

We were very fortunate to have Lynn come help us with setting up the booth! We got a late start and actually managed to get everything set up in 4 hours!! Whew...pickle product was flying out of those boxes! We didn't realize that Chattanooga was in the Eastern time zone so we had lost an hour of set-up...not to mention the hour and a half running around in circles looking for the UPS center to pick up some packages.

Happy to be home...but I miss those warm nights!

This lo is of my ds, a pic taken at the coast this summer, I used the Rusty Pickle School Daze line for this one. I am so sad that school is starting this morning...which reminds me I had better head off to bed soon so I can pry the little darlings out of bed bright and early! My youngest daughter is starting high school and is so worried she won't be able to find her way around the school...and then Jacob will be in 4th grade he is not so excited about giving up his free time to sit in class all day!

Tragic....

This past week has been filled with devastating losses for me: This morning my best friend: Lynn has lost her granddaughter. She had a tragic crib accident 2 days ago and was removed from life support this morning and has passed away. She was born Feb 28th...only 6 months old. It is never easy...to lose a loved one and for me it's even harder with little ones. The pics are from May 1st.

Earlier this week a neighorhood boy that has been friends with my dd's was involved in a car accident: he is in a Portland hospital with internal injuries, his 16 y/o girlfriend lost her life...it has been very hard on my teenage girls to deal with this and has been a tearful week for us.

KI Memories

I created a couple of lo's using fabulous KI Memories products...they are searching for new DT members...and I love the bright fun products they offer, so I decided to go for it! The first lo is of my 2 youngest chidren caught in the act of love while camping! I just love how flippin sweet they are!

I thought I would make a couple lo's that show my fun side...the second lo is my husband and I at the Oregon coast my youngest dd took the pic, I decided to use B&W to show off the beautiful colors of the pp! and by using a black matte on each piece helps it pop!

Yep that is the fun cardstock lace from KI memories on this lo of my youngest dd's bff. I took this pic when we were at the Oregon coast standing up on a rock at the shoreline...I used eyeshadown to color the photo and chipboard letters.

This lo of my darling son Jacob was created with Rusty Pickle pp, and those fabulous swirls are Tim Holtz grungeboard...sent to me as a birthday gift from my bff Anna of Iceland...thanks Anna!

Jacob Sandboarding

Oregon Coast

Here are a few images from our 9 day trip to the Oregon Coast. We started in Florence where we spent 3 days sandboarding and relaxing. The weather was amazing...beautiful blue sky and a little breeze...around 70 degrees back home it was hitting in the low 100's... a perfect time to getaway! As we headed down the coast there was this thick fog that just sat over the ocean, but it was still perfect weather!

Sandboarding is a little like snowboarding, you wax the bottom of your board then strap it on your feet and down the hill you go....lol sounds simple huh...it is if you are naturally gifted like my kids...for me I followed the simple steps and yes did head down the hill, faster and faster ...hey where is the steering wheel and brakes??? Yep I bit it but only a few times!

Then up the coast for 2 days in Newport and Lincoln City, where we spent time shopping at our fav factory outlet stores: PacSun, Aeropostale & Hollister. Building sand castles, playing card games...and yep a lot more relaxing & of course pictures.

Then our final 5 days of our trip spent up in the Northern tip of Oregon in Warrenton... we spent an entire day in the childrens fav place...Seaside....here we enjoyed the fun of the arcade, tilt-a-whirl, corn dogs....rented a fun flintstone type bike to cruise around on (I only lost my shoe once, holding up traffic).

OK...we still have 2 days left, so off to have more fun...take more pics (I think I'm over 1000 pics so far)
